Is It Better To Lose Weight Quickly Or Effectively?

The problem of loosing weight worries a lot of people nowadays. Many people who want to lose weight can not determine what method to choose: if it is better to lose weight fast (this method is the most preferable for majority of people, but if is it the best?) or to choose a methods that allows you to lose weight slowly but constantly?

First of all you must understand that everyone has different metabolism. Some people have no tendency to corpulence at all. I am sure you know at least one person who can eat a plate of spaghetti with a fat gravy and not gain weight. And I am sure you have asked yourself many times: why can I not be like that? Why must I always count every eaten calorie? You have to be careful with what you eat because your metabolism is slower.

Some people think that drinking cold water may help to lose weight. This opinion is based on the conclusion that a person’s body has to heat water to body temperature, so a person’s body burns calories. This is partly true, but only partly. But of you drink a glass of water before a meal, this will help you to eat less but to feel as your stomach is full, so this method really helps to lose weight.

Actually the best way to lose weight and to do hat fast is to eat less and to exercise more. Yes, this is very simple. And you can add anything to this method i.e. pills, diets, drinking water etc. You can take pills only and not to cut down your ration and do not do any exercises, but only pills won’t help you to lose weight. Moreover, most all pills have side effects, and I do not think that you want to risk your health.

Saying “to eat less” means that you have to eat the right portions every meal. For example, they say that breakfast is the main meal a day – this is very right. Everything you eat at breakfast will be turned out to clear energy and nothing to fat. So, breakfast should be your biggest meal. The traditional diet of most people is 3 meals a day, but it may not work for you if you try to lose weight. It is better to eat 5 times a day, but with right portions, thus breakfast is the biggest meal and other meals are lessen to the evening. Plus you have to drink a lot of water (juices, green tea etc.) and do exercises. This really can be the best method to lose weight. If you follow this program, you will lose weight and moreover you will not gain weight again, because you will get used to this “program” of dieting.

New Exercises Added

With the weather getting colder and wetter I wasn’t able to get outside and exercise as much, so had to start training inside. I went out and got the 30 day shred DVD and boy does it give you a workout. I watched it all the way through and it didn’t look that hard. Of course doing it was something else and I was sweating and hurting pretty fast. I followed it all the way through the first level and did the 30 minutes, had to modify a few things towards the end but didn’t want to give up. I am all ready feeling the burn and am looking forward to working out tomorrow some more.

Food wise I am really making the effort to keep my food journal and track everything I eat. My weight loss has slowed down in the last couple of weeks but haven’t gotten out on my bike as much either. My stair climbing has started to bother my knee a bit so have slowed down on that for a few days, but I was up to 64 times.

From all my reading I am learning that I need to eat 1200 calories a day to get to my target weight of 170 lbs, but that I also need to burn that many calories per day. I am having trouble with that, my morning walk burns about 300 calories and the DVD burn 279, so that doesn’t even get me half way there. Will have to do some more research and see what else I can add in to burn those calories!

Trying to do incorporate as much fresh food as possible and use the least amount of canned food and sauces. Today for lunch I had a turkey and lettuce sandwich, I used a nice spicy mustard on the rye bread instead of any margarine or mayo and it tasted good. Tonight we are having homemade pizza and I can have a nice slice without feeling guilty. For the weekend I plan on cooking spaghetti, but I will use spaghetti squash instead of noodles and am loading it with tons of fresh peppers and mushrooms…am looking forward to it.

Off to take the dogs out and have a herbal tea.
