I have enjoyed eating small amounts every 2-3 hours. I feel as though I have more energy to get my tasks done during the day. But there was one day I think Wednesday where I felt a little down.

On the good side I didn’t start eating I was tired and so didn’t exercise on the bike that day. Instead I took the dogs out side and walked around with them. I allowed myself more breaks from my work during the day and didn’t worry if not everything was done on time. I am lucky that I can normally create my own deadlines though.

When it came to cooking this week I watched what we ate. I prepared less potatoes and made a crust less quiche for dinner one night. This really cut down on the calories by not having the pastry. Last night I made a turkey meat loaf which turned out delicious. Will have to write down the recipe for that the next time I make it. Today I am making a chicken goulash. Which is basically chicken thighs in a tomato based sauce with tons of veggies, onions, peppers, celery, garlic and red pepper. I cook it for about 2-3 hours on a low heat and it turns out super yummy.

Of course it helps competing against my husband when it comes down to motivation. I want to make sure that I am right there losing weight along with him. He thinks he will out do me. When it comes to losing weight faster that may be true but I am determined to keep losing.

Next week I will probably need to add more water in, I still drink too much coffee and tea even if most of the time it is decaff. Exercise I need to add some more in but we are supposed to be doing a workout together on the weekend. He is in to martial arts so has some great workouts even though he hasn’t done them in a while.

My favorite breakfast this week was my oatmeal with applesauce a little bit of brown sugar. I found this filled me up and I didn’t get hungry until around 9.30 – 10.00 which is when I should be having my next snack anyway. We are normally up around 5.30 am and I eat about an hour later.

Would love to hear what motivates you to keep losing weight, let me know!

Simon Starkins

What is the best way to quickly lose weight is one of the most asked questions one can come across and what most people fail to understand the main objective is to cut down on your calorie intake, is all that it takes to shed the extra pounds. Sticking to a proper diet is essential to achieve the weight you can live with, but doesn’t necessarily mean that you resort to starvation or a crash diet. To quickly burn fat you just have to change to a healthy diet and eating the right quantities.

Most of us decide to quickly lose weight for the moment, which results in investing in extraordinary measures such as prescription drugs, counseling, gym memberships etc and with an appropriate diet; you are not only including foods that are right for you, but also ensuring that the pounds are gone for good. This doesn’t mean that you can’t feast on your favorite cheesecake, but implies that you make it a subtle and not a staple part of your diet.

Before you plan to quickly burn calories, you need to understand that each diet is unique when compared to others and a good example to relate would be potatoes, which are known to be highly rich in carbohydrates and are great for those poorly facilitated with them, but can be the worst enemy for those who have them in excess. You need to set realistic goals and sticking to them is another aspect of slowly burning fat and needs to be determined prior to initiate a diet.

A diet is a great way to lose weight quickly without exercise and if your goal is to lose one inch per week, then that’s what you need to achieve under any circumstances, without going overboard of course! The process of switching from your habituated diet to a healthier one may seem intimidating, but gradually replacing the food you consume with vegetables and low fat is a great place to start. Drinking tepid water will help raise your metabolic rate, since your body is warm enough to sustain and process it.

In our quest to quickly lose weight, we often disappoint ourselves by weighing ourselves daily, but the harsh reality is that weight loss is by far something that happens overnight, but with the right amount of perseverance will happen with time. You seriously have to cut out the sodas, as they are rich in sodium, which enhances water retention and is the last thing you want when trying to easily lose weight.

Foods such as broccoli, lettuce, cauliflower and celery as high in fibre and are a great way to avoid constipation. Consuming smaller portions of food at set intervals of the day is an ideal way to defeat hunger and keep your sugar levels at par.

Following the above steps you can quickly lose weight. Remember that a healthy diet is much cheaper than you may think and before you know it, the results will speak for themselves!

Article Source: Jamie Francis

It can be a difficult task for many parents to get their children to eat healthy foods, especially if healthy foods were not introduced to them at a very young age or if they are simply averse to the taste of many vegetables but it is definitely possible to teach children and encourage them to eat healthy foods while at the same time explaining to them on their level why they need to eat these foods.

The best food for an infant is milk, whether this is breast milk or formula; this is the beginning of a child’s healthy diet. As the child gets older they can then start to eat more solid foods and the first solid foods that you introduce to your child are very important because if you train a child to eat healthily then they will most likely continue to do so throughout their life.

Foods that are soft and easy to chew and swallow are the best solids to start your child on and this can include anything from pureed root vegetables and mashed potatoes, to soups and fruit compotes. Many mums and dads actually make their own baby food rather than buying jarred foods, which is easy because all you need to do is cook healthy foods and blend them into a smooth and easy to digest consistency; it almost always works out cheaper to make your own baby food too. Why not cook in batches and freeze portions? This way, your homemade baby food will be just as convenient as buying it ready made from the supermarket and you will know exactly what has gone into it.

Fruits are great for your child to eat as well and when they are first introduced to your children they will need to be mashed up for them to eat or cut into small pieces depending on how many teeth your child has. Once your child has been eating fruits and mushy foods for a few months you can then start your child on regular vegetables and cereals that don’t contain a lot of added salt or sugar.

Some easy healthy recipes for your child could include whole wheat pasta with roasted vegetables and roasted chicken in a freshly made tomato sauce, homemade pizzas with plenty of vegetables and protein from good quality ham or chicken pieces and pan fried salmon fillets with sweet potato chips and a fresh green salad. All of this dishes can be made quickly and you will often be able to get your child involved in the preparations, which will teach them how to cook, what different foods are and the importance of making meals using fresh and delicious ingredients.

Go online to find that perfect <a
