title="Aloysius Mah" href="http://www.articlesbase.com/authors/aloysius-mah/263002">Aloysius Mah

Maintaining healthy weight is something that may come as a challenge for some, especially if they have a strong fondness for sweets and junk food. The truth of the matter is that maintaining healthy weight has a lot to do with food choices, and of course, always eating the wrong types of food that taste good but do not offer that much health benefits will not be of help in getting you back to your ideal healthy weight.

People need to understand that there is value in making sure that one’s weight needs to always be at a healthy level. It’s not about simply shedding extra pounds and looking sensationally slim-it’s about making sure your body is being properly taken care of. Many women, on the other extreme, tend to obsess about their calorie intake and constantly ask themselves “How many calories should I eat to maintain weight?” Sometimes, it’s not merely about concerning oneself with calorie intake, but about what kind of food you’re eating and how it affects your body.

Here are ten good reasons why one should maintain a healthy weight:

1. It’s good for your health.
More than looking slim and sexy, maintaining your ideal weight is more about your body’s general health and wellness. With the right nutrients entering your body, you will have more energy to accomplish your daily tasks, and at the same time look glowing and naturally attractive.

2. It makes dressing up easier and more hassle-free.
Overweight women in general tend to find it more difficult to shop-this is because not all brands carry plus size lines, and most of the more fashionable items are being carried in regular sizes.

3. It makes you more sexually attractive.
If you are in a relationship, believe this: men do care about what you look like. Even though they love you for who you are, being physically fit in a relationship is an added bonus, which will benefit both of you in the long run.

4. It helps increase energy.
When you are at your ideal weight, your fitness level is at its peak, and you therefore have more energy to accomplish all your tasks. Many overweight people feel sluggish and lethargic, and altogether too lazy to be productive because of that “heavy” feeling that comes with being overweight.

5. It makes a great first impression.
While looks aren’t everything, the real world unfortunately sometimes bases success on the way you look. There are certain industries that hire people that fit a certain mold and look a certain way.

6. It helps you be more active in sports.
A good weight helps you be more motivated to engage in active sports.

7. It boosts confidence and self-esteem.
When you look good, it makes you feel good about yourself, and this shows in your demeanor.

8. It inspires other women to maintain a healthy weight.
By being in your best shape and maintaining a healthy weight, your loved ones and friends around you will also get inspired to lose weight just like you. In this case, you are not only helping yourself but you are also helping them to become healthier too.

9. It pushes you to continually choose the right food.
When you have the will to maintain a healthy weight, you will develop a habit to choose the right food to eat. This will help you in the long run if you want to maintain a healthy weight for as long as possible.

10. It helps you feel emotionally at peace.
When you are confident about yourself and the way you look, your personality and outlook become more positive and pleasing.

Article Source: Terry W. Leslie

Having decided that you want to lose weight, where do you turn? There is so much information on this subject out there: “this diet works” or “New Diet Superpill Found” can be found on any internet search on the subject. We’ve trawled through the best of them for you here!

To be honest, the answer to the age-old question “how do I lose weight?” is actually quite simple: if you consume more calories than you burn, you will put on weight. Put even more simply: if what goes in is more than what comes out, you will get heavier!!

The trick to it is finding the correct balance, and also to understanding how many calories you need in order to function normally, and also where those calories are coming from. You need to understand how many calories are needed for your metabolism (the breaking up of foods), how many calories are needed by the muscles in order to move, etc, etc.

Once you understand the basic principles of nutrition, all of these factors and more can be easily controlled. Take an objective view of your current diet, and try and work out how many calories you actually consume on a daily basis – look for the food labels on the packets of the foods you eat. Then ask yourself how many calories do I need to function normally on a daily basis? This will differ from person to person, and is dependent on factors such as weight, height, age and lifestyle. If in doubt, check with your GP.

Most people can achieve weight loss by making a few simple changes to their diet or exercise regime. Drastic changes to your diet or lifestyle can actually be more harmful than good, and often are completely unnecessary. In order to achieve your optimal weight, seek out information on nutrition, and consider the following tips:

· Eating bird-size portions all day long does NOT make you will lose weight – quite the contrary – it can actually seriously damage your metabolism in the long term. You will initially lose weight, but you will put it straight back on again when you start eating properly again. Also, you will have very little energy and your metabolism will slow to a crawl.

· Forget the non-fat craze. Some fats are vital for our well-being. Avoid saturated fats, which can stay in the body for a longer time, but some fats naturally burn more of the excess fat in your body.

· Forget the low-carb diets. Diets with no or low intake of carbohydrates can have horrible and devastating side-effects for your body. Once again, these are vital parts of our body’s mechanism, and without them we cannot function properly. Side-effects can include headaches, fatigue and constipation.

· Throw the diet pills away. They don’t work. Diet pills lower your appetite so you often do not get the necessary vitamins and minerals you need.

· Get educated! Understand more about the foods that you eat. It is not necessary to live on a diet consisting solely of lettuce and granola. There are many foods that can replace or even add to a normal diet that can help in a weight loss regime.

The most important thing is to not be drastic – don’t throw away all the foods that you love, just enjoy them with a little more moderation. There are many great tasting nutritious foods available that can replace and enhance your existing diet.

Also remember there is no magic pill for weight loss. It doesn’t happen overnight. If you want to get down to a size 10 in order for cousin Joe’s wedding a week next Saturday, forget it. But you can lose weight over time, and at the same time have a healthy lifestyle that will give you loads of energy and make you feel great about yourself.

Now what if we could show you a system of eating and very specific short training techniques which is so different from anything else you’ve ever seen before and has already proven to have helped over 33,189 others, plus you’ll see a total ‘permanent’ change in your body within 2 months from today? What would that mean to you? How surprised will your friends and family be when they see a new permanent you within 2 months from today? That’s why food labels also tell you how many calories the food contains, so you can limit your calorie intake and make sure not to consume too many in a day.

Want To Increase Your Calorie Capacity,Visit

<a

As a rough guide, though, women need about 2,000 calories per day to function properly, while men need around 2,500. A good way to organise this is to have 500 calories for breakfast, 500 for lunch and 1,000 for dinner – as men and women tend to eat together in the evenings, a man may find it easiest to eat a large lunch in order to get his extra 500 calories. In practice, you will probably want to keep each meal a hundred calories or so under these amounts, to allow for a modest amount of snacking.

The world is full of fad diets, but this is one that works: combined with exercise, there is simply no way for calorie-counting to fail, provided you have the willpower to stick with it. The reason that there are so many ways out there to ‘lose weight fast’ is that many people, unfortunately, find it hard to make themselves count calories. One tip: if you find it annoying to add up how many calories you’re putting in food, you might find it easier to work out and write down how many calories there are in the meals you make regularly. This will allow you to plan better and have some days where you don’t need to worry about what you’re putting in the food.

Looknig For A Healthy Eating Information,Visit

<a
