Let’s use the example of eating while watching TV. When you decide that it’s not OK to eat while watching TV, go into trance and bring up the image of you watching TV. As the image develops make sure that you are not eating anything as you watch TV and bring up some really good feelings. If at any time that image changes to you eating and watching, then bring up a really unpleasant feeling. Like the feeling you would usually get after you ate too much and felt sorry that you did.
So what we are doing is starting to use feelings that you already experience in a way that works to help you build healthier habits.
Let’s see how we can use that process with eating healthier. Again we imagine us eating healthier foods and feeling good, really good. If an image comes up with unhealthy food, then bring in some strong negative feelings that you can associate with that bad behavior.
And with getting more exercise, bring up some really positive good feelings as you start to plan your exercise program and then make it an even stronger pleasant feeling as you start to prepare for exercising. Then while you are exercising get the most intense pleasurable feelings you can muster to associate with the behavior.
These mental tweaks are performed while you are in a meditative trance state. This is commonly referred to as using hypnotism weight loss to reach our ideal weight.
